We created this small collaboration with Mariam based on our calligraphy styles and their contrast. Together we combined our analog characters with digital effects for more depth in this piece.

To understand this project better, look at the whole process below:
At first we picked the quote which was — "Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much". Then I received Mariam's part of the quote and using it created a few sketches for the overall composition of this piece. Because Mariam's style was more of a classic gothic type, I used thiner and more expressive strokes to create a better contrast.
After we decided on the overall composition, we moved to the next stage which was digitalizing the work. Mariam's bold letters needed some elegance to them therefore we thought of a chrome effect:
And as mentioned earlier, the best contrast for these would be thiner and more expressive strokes. Lightning fit very well in this case especially with metal chrome effect. That's the style I used for my part of the quote:
